Super Bowl Sunday is, of course, next Sunday (February 5). Our youth will be joining youth around the country in the Souper Bowl of Caring. The Souper Bowl of Caring began in North Carolina in 1993 and has since spread to youth groups around the country. It is a grassroots, youth-led effort to feed the hungry in our nation. Since 1993, Souper Bowl of Caring has raised more than $28 million to fight hunger.
After worship on Super Bowl Sunday, youth will be standing outside the sanctuary with soup pots, ready to collect a can of soup or $1.00 from each worshiper. At JKPC, the youth will then be feeding us lunch: soup!
